This past year put a freeze on many of our day to day activities. Our lives halted and the need for a calendar basically became obsolete. We'd be lying if we said we didn't enjoy the time... initially... for so often we feel obliged to be a part of everything and often create the very thing we complain about with a schedule filled with countless activities and gatherings. But when forced to cancel everything, we honestly began to see what was truly important.
This time has put a lot into perspective and has made us appreciate many aspects of our lives and we have never been so eager to get back out to the things that truly make us happy...that includes the hustle and bustle of sports and, of course, making photography a part of it!
Capturing what truly makes you or your child(ren) happy is incredibly valuable. These images are timeless, and often take you back to that exact moment you or your child scored a goal, or made a game-saving-play. They can capture the moment your child first rides a bike or masters a skill they have been so determined to accomplish.
They capture successes, or the support they get from their teammates when they feel they have failed. These images are pure and uplifting and can cause a number of senses to react when you glance over them. You remember the smell of the freshly cut grass before the start of a soccer game. You hear the sound of the "swoosh" as a basketball slides through the hoop. You hear the cheering of the crowds, the slap of high-fives, and the abundance of pride.
You are ultimately reminded, in those moments, of what life is truly about and while we may complain of the hustle and bustle of our calendars, we know we wouldn't have it any other way!
