Too Cool for School

The list would be seemingly never-ending if we began writing down all the ways we had to adjust and adapt to this past year, and ongoing into this one. While we believe many items on this list would fall under the negative category, the Pandemic has had many people and companies getting smart and creative to help keep themselves afloat all while maintaining others' safety.

Photography did, and continues to take, a pretty substantial hit but it too has given us an opportunity to come up with creative ways and ideas to keep things going while having our clients' wishes and safety in mind.

This year, for example, many school districts were either forced to remain closed or were given the choice to offer a virtual learning option. That's when the question came to mind, "how are some of these students going to receive school pictures?" Not all families keep up with annual family pictures but so often keep that one frame rotating with an annual school head shot.

That's when the ::flash:: bulb went off...

School pictures often only offer one pose, one backdrop, and one choice of location. Much like senior portraits, choosing to get your child's school pictures taken outside of school is a fun way to incorporate his/her favorite book, a hobby, a sport, or even an instrument. The options are truly endless and ultimately tell your child's "story!"

The location can vary and distances and precautions can be maintained...AND you get to hold onto and remember these fast moving school years. We don't think anyone would argue that this last year has truly taught us how precious time is and how we need to cherish every moment.

Let us know how we can help freeze those moments for you!
