We have all heard of the term "wedding season" before. While normally we would soon start to head into this busy time of year, it goes without saying that this past year made a HUGE change in "the season" all together. I won't say the dreaded word because we all know what I'm talking about as we still continue to navigate through these, let's just call them unfortunately peculiar, times.
Weddings have had to be postponed, some multiple times. If you've ever been married or been a part of a wedding, you know how involved the planning process is so if one item/vendor on the list gets changed, it is common for many other aspects to as well, ultimately forcing a vision to change.
It is tough watching our Whitman's Wish couples tackle these difficult times but they did, and continue to do so, with SO much strength, understanding, and love.
Here is one couple, in particular. Stephanie and Mike. Their story goes WELL beyond the incredible achievement of planning a wedding during a pandemic. Their wedding day was a celebration of love, commitment, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Mike and Stephanie both rejoined in the words, "let's finish what we started," as they married each other for the second time. With undeniably the most beautiful and raw handwritten vowels, there wasn't a single dry eye, as they promised their love and faithfulness not only to each other but to their son Tucker too. Once broken, this family was finally put back together again.
Their date on their invitations may have been "wrong." They may have had to change seasons, change layouts, change guest lists, but these crazy times have only taught the valuable lesson that none of those changes will hinder the ultimate outcome of your special day, and the incredible love and bond you share as a couple. And PS they could not have asked for a more perfect day!
That being said, "hello wedding season!" No matter when time, and regulations, allow for your special day to happen, we cannot wait to celebrate with you!
